The Faculty of Architecture & Built Environment (FABE) together with Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah (PPD) Kuantan, organised a “Bengkel Senibina: STEAM” which took place at the SMK Tengku Panglima Perang Tengku Muhammad, Kuantan, Pahang on 24 June 2019. STEAM was an abbreviation for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
A total of 23 teams from several schools took part in the workshop. There was also competition held on Structures & Buildings. The winners for the competition are SMK Sungai Isap, SMK Sungai Baging and SMK Tengku Panglima Perang Tengku Muhammad.
Meanwhile in Penang, on 27 June 2019, FABE collaborated with PPD Seberang Perai Tengah in a same programme which took place at Sekolah Menengah Sains Tun Syed Sheikh Shahabudin, Bukit Mertajam, Penang. Participated by 29 teams, the winners for the competition went to SMK Penanti, SM Agama Daeratul Maarifil Wataniah 2 and SMJK Jit Sin.
The same competition was held in PPD Seberang Perai Selatan on the next day, witnessing participation of altogether 18 teams. The winners for the Structure & Buildings competition were from SMK Sri Nibong and SMK Methodist Nibong Tebal.
