Celebrating Creativity and Camaraderie
The Protasco Merdeka Poster Design Challenge showed us how powerful competitive spirit can be—more than 20 designs were submitted with 9 being featured on our social media accounts. Out of the Top 9 designs, 2 emerged as winners, surpassing 1,000 likes on Instagram.
This poster demonstrates the spirit of patriotisms through the elements of unity, integrity and solidarity by holding hand-to-hand and cherishing each other to ensure the sustainability of well-being.
The tagline emphasises independence, harmony, and national unity. The saluting figures honor the armed forces, freedom fighters, and citizens, reminding us that Merdeka is a solemn commemoration of sacrifice. Fireworks symbolize freedom, pride, and the joyous unity of Malaysians in celebrating 68 years of independence.
Through this competition, we came to know our people better, and it reminded us once again that Protasco Champions are full of creativity and passion.

Let’s not let the Merdeka spirit fade with the festivities. Instead, let’s carry it forward in the way we work, collaborate, and uplift one another—keeping the values of unity, respect, and shared purpose alive every day. This season has also reminded us that while differences may exist, our true strength lies in moving forward together with respect, courage, and hope. Here’s to keeping the Merdeka spirit alive—not just in August or September, but in every step we take.
