On July 18, 2024, Protasco Berhad marked a significant milestone with the launch of its latest blueprint, “I am Protasco 3.0” (IAP3.0). The event aimed to acknowledge and give appreciation to the outstanding individuals who have been significantly involved in the sustainability efforts since the IAP2.0.
The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the new IAP3.0 logo by Dato’ Sri Ir. Chong Ket Pen and Dato’ Ir. Kenny Ther Nen, symbolising the company’s commitment to sustainability and innovation. The new IAP3.0 logo is designed to be a strong visual representation of the IAP programme’s ongoing commitment to growth, advancement, and a continuous journey towards sustainable practices.
In his address, the Group Managing Director, Dato’ Ir. Kenny Ther Nen emphasised the importance of sustainability in the company’s future plans. He stressed that these practices should evolve beyond merely fulfilling requirements, becoming ingrained habits and norms to ensure their long-term sustainability.
A slideshow presentation provided the audience with a visual journey of the history of Protasco and the evolution of the “I am Protasco” initiative. The IAP journey showcased Protasco Berhad’s commitment to continuous improvement and adaptation in a dynamic business environment. From its initial public listing in 2003 to the transformative phases of the “I am Protasco” initiative, the company has demonstrated resilience and a forward-looking approach.
The Head of Strategy and Sustainability Office, Madam Selvi Salome, took the stage to further present the initiatives undertaken by Protasco Berhad and those planned for the near future. The comprehensive presentation highlighted efforts in measuring and monitoring impact through KPIs and risk assessment. The initiatives aim to ensure long-term environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
